C3.ai recognized as enterprise AI leader revolutionizing the digital transformation of energy, manufacturing, oil and gas, defense and financial services industries
C3.ai has been named a 2020 BloombergNEF Pioneer. The prestigious award recognizes innovative companies that are nimble enough in their response to changes and disruptions in the energy market to drive the development of renewable energy products and services and accelerate the transition to a lower carbon economy.
“We are witnessing a massive market shift with the recent oil price reset that has made digital transformation an existential event for the oil and gas industry,” said Thomas M. Siebel, CEO, C3.ai.
“To help the world’s leading operators reinvent themselves, we are applying AI in innovative ways at massive scale to achieve significant social and economic benefits, in close collaboration with Microsoft and Baker Hughes,” Siebel said. “We will continue to develop applications that support digital oil fields, predictive maintenance, refining optimization, well productivity, asset health and more to improve efficiencies and increase safety, while simultaneously reducing environmental impact.”
“We thrive on this important work and are honored to be recognized as a BNEF Pioneer.”
This year’s BNEF Pioneers winners were judged on three criteria:
- Potential to scale and have global impact
- Level of innovation of the technology or business model and the novelty it brings to the market
- Momentum demonstrated through progress in the form of commercial sales, strong industry partnerships and distribution channels, and continued sales growth
